did you actually use Vista
Windows Vista 32-bit was not useless at least.
Scenario: got some rare components with up to no good XP drivers. Then there will be Vista drivers. Concerns hardware made only through 2007 to 2009 because in 2010 the manufacturers started to go for Win7 and started to support XP again after seeing Vistas failure in marketshare.
Okay but what about software?
Games.
All Windows games from 2005 to 2010 will run great. If games have DVD ROM copy protection scheme and if you have the original DVDs to play it, Vista is your platform.
Windows 10 DOES NOT support DVD SECUROM protection. Games will not work. You need to find patched or re-released games who lost their SECUROMs. Most games did, probably.
With Vista you run any 32-bit Windows XP software unless it needs XP specific drivers.
64-bit Vista is a disaster though, don't try it.
