This, but the d-pad is so fucking bad. They overcorrected the diagonals from the early models, so now they're too easy to press by accident. Not to mention the latency.
I managed to get them to send me a Tegenaria (T3Lite) free of charge as "warranty" because I didn't want to just receive another fucked up T3Pro, and that one is a straight up improvement in most ways despite being dirt cheap. Only not a fan of how the middle two buttons feel and the Start placement. Supposedly they're going to release a wireless version later.

Also got a Aolion j20 from the chinks for pennies to use as a glorified remote most of the time. Don't even own a Switch.

Nothing huge though, according to Gamepadia, it's like 3.5ms vs 5.5ms average latency difference. Compare to something like an Xbox controller with 10ms.
Still nice to see there's even more advantages in Bluetooth latency, custom dongles can be annoying.

What's the point if the battery life is good enough and you keep it in a dock anyways? No need to swap cells either. Dualsense has an average battery life of 9 hours and if you go to the bathroom or get a snack, you can temporary dock it, even 5 minutes charges enough for half an hour.

The Pro 2 and Xbox Series controllers are severely lacking in features, low polling rate, no gyro.

I love my SN30 Pro+, it's the most comfortable form factor to me, however both it and my base SN30 developed pretty bad phantom diagonal inputs (the base was much worse).
I replaced the dpad membranes in both of them and now they are really loud and almost impossible to do diagonals on, feels bad.

I have a whole collection, it really depends on the game. For modern stuff, I tend to use either an 8bitdo pro 3, switch pro 2 or a dualsense these days. For older stuff it's either OEM controllers from back in the day or the NSO repros. GameCube stuff is a toss, either my ancient T3 controller, NSO GCC or my custom 8bitdo board based build in an extremerate shell, depending on where I'm playing gamecube games.

You probably want the drop-in 8bitdo board then. I think it's compatible with OEM sticks, so you can get one of these cheap hall-effect repros and keep swapping them whenever they wear out. Metal sticks go into hundreds of dollars when you can score one.

I lent mine to a friend, who immediately lost the receiver, and when I contacted Valve to request another even thought it was almost brand new to the market they basically told me to go fuck myself. Bluetooth mode always felt like shit in comparison because of the difference in latency, and I think it also did something to weaken/disable the haptics, but I'd be keen to dig it out storage and give it another go if I could get an actual USB adaptor for it.

I have a brand new DS3, but I dont see any reason to use it yet. I am not saying that the drift makes it viable for any game, but for 3d fighters, and old skool beat'em ups, the trusty sixaxis does its job well enough. Most people don't care all that much as long as the sticks are HE/TMR, if even that. You'd be aiming for a small audience that does care and/or ends up actually liking how the controllers feels or what features it comes with, and the latter is ultimately more important.
Needless to say, it'd have to have lifetime warranty and a no-bullshit return policy. And then you could probably sell it for $300.

to enable that you just have to hold the B button when powering on the controller (update the firmware).
