USE WINDOWS 7
Windows 7 is the most secure operating system made by Microsoft

Much more secure than modern version of Windows. loonix and macOS
It cannot be hacked easily

Based thread. I love Windows 7.
Can you elaborate how Windows 7 is the most secure? I'd like to explain this to my friends.

I like Windows 7 but only with the classic shell

Wow totally organic thread guys. Inb4 only “cool” (radioactive) distros are allowed

Do you plug your computer directly into the internet with no router or something? You know your router/modem has its own firewall right?
Windows 7 was a good operating system and I would still use it daily if all my programs still worked on it. This isn't /x/ or /pol/ so idk what the glowie stuff is for.
>Wow totally organic thread guys.
Yeah, its a thread about technology on the technology board. Go call everyone in the Friendly Windows Thread glowies too.

I didn't make the image. But I knew someone would say this haha.

I love the glass look of Windows 7. I miss those days. I like XP too though, they both bring their own memories.

I'm not really worried about remote 0days, I'm worried about using a web browser that's not up to snuff and running adversarial javascript.

Windows 95 is the most secure operating system made by Microsoft

Much more secure than modern version of Windows. loonix and macOS
No current malware even works with it due to missing dependencies

The last time I installed Win7 it didn't even recognize my disks without external motherboard drivers. I don't even remember how I got it working.

you cant upgrade NORMALLY to the latest browser, if they decide your OS does not support anymore.

im not sure about that, but wouldnt malware be made with x86 assembler? If I wrote malware in 1995, I would use the SMI interrupt, that way it would go undetected by even the OS.

nigger, your internet connection from your home network is by default safe, since noone can directly connect to your computer. Literally nothing will happen if you use old windows to browse the internet.
>b-b-b-but muh youtube video
all of them are doctored. author either downloads the malware on their own or exposes it directly, which is never the case unless you are clinically retarded.
>muh workarounds
Windows 7 with VxKex still gives you better experience than troonix. A lot of nuprograms will work just fine after installing VxKex , which takes like 2 clicks. All the old proprietary software for windows 7 still mogs modern linux troonware.

Because its better than both nuwindows and troonix, simple as. With 7 you have great compatibility with software and hardware thats actually worth your time without all the faggotry that comes with modern windows and troonix.
>Sounds like schizo ramblings to me...
The fact that you injected too much HRT to your brain might have damaged it, you know.

You know that webpages, image/video files, and other seemingly harmless files can be used to take advantage of exploits in old browsers and image/file/PDF viewers to install malware on your PC without your knowledge?
New attack vectors get discovered for old software every year. Refusing to patch them is a security risk.

I'm not worried about security but I'm getting tired of more programs not working anymore, the latest being Steam downloads. I'm sorry but I'm going to bite the bullet and switch to Windows 10 soon.

Even mainstream ESU support is still going for three more years not even talking about LTSC. Windows 10 userbase is huge, people hate 11 or don't have the hardware to run it. I'll deal with any problems in 5+ years.

w8.1 is really good imo it runs on 1.1gigs
maybe w7 for dos stuff compatibility
maybe bc w7 is lighter

but 8.1 is stable as fuck (relative to windows'es. nothing fucking compares to the rock-stability of linux)
