My coworkers and friends get giddy and literally cry with laughter at gen AI videos and conversations they have with LLMs

They think OpenAI promotional videos where two bots have a conversation with one another is proof that AI is becoming sentient

And they call me a luddite

Tech coworkers are almost always lame.
I learned this since uni when I expected some hogwarts experience where I got to meet fellows weirdos but they are all normies who think they are giga nerds for discussing RGB peripherals.

there's a lot of ai sloppa on /gif/ that i find legitmately amazing
much of it is kind of gross or offensive in some way, but it's kind of similar to how i'd assume normal people interact with this stuff
maybe you are the weird one, or you just haven't seen sloppa that appeals to you yet
