I'm used to reading black letters on white background so that's what I want.

I used dark mode ever since it started becoming a fad. Two years ago or so I decided to try black on white again and I was amazed at how much of an unexpected relief from eye strain I got. Now I’m one of those ”insane people” who programs on vim on a black text on white background terminal.
And just to complete the seething it’s also MacOS.

here's how eyes work:

if you're looking at a dark screen in a dark room your pupils dilate meaning what you are looking at gets blurrier.

if youre looking at a light screen in a light room your pupils constrict meaning what you are looking at gets sharper.

Because I'm fucking tired of being a depressed and sick cave dweller after 5 years since 2020 and I eternally miss daylight and the sun. My eyes have gone to shit by now. I'm going a step further and painting all my stuff off white too.

It's all about printers.
If you have to print your shit, you'll use light mode. Because, ultimately, you will have to print your shit with dark ink over light sheets. So it makes a lot of sense.
If you don't print your shit, dark mode is king.

If there was such a thing as cheap white ink, and cheap dark paper sheets, we would use dark mode all the bloody time.

I find dark mode faggots to be absolute subhumans, this kind of mental illness only started becoming prominent 10 years or so back because zoomers don't know how to adjust the brightness on their devices. It's sad enough on PC, but absolutely indefensible on mobile given it's in the fucking top bar drop down.

What's worse is how they insist the rest of the internet cater to them by default, and fuck up every single fucking site. Twitter now defaults to nigger mode, youtube is partial nigger mode with "theater mode".
