I've used the regular edition my entire life, but the Enhancer for YouTube situation got me thinking that maybe I should switch to the Developer Edition so that I could install extensions not validated by Mozilla, should I ever need to.

For anyone who doesn't know, the Enhancer for YouTube dev took it off the Firefox Add-on store after getting fed up with Mozilla's verification/validation policies or whatever they're called. It can still be installed, it's just not getting updates.

Just as I was going to make a thread related to browsers, perfect timing, thanks.
Anyways, can someone recommend me browsers that works natively on apple silicon?

You might want to make a separate thread regardless. I very rarely see Apple compatibility discussed in threads like these.

I was thinking about giving Mullvad Browser a try. Do you have any experience with it?
I am not sure if it uses rosetta or not but it is available on mac, if anons provide some good feedback on it I will give it a try.

I'm using floorp which by default isn't good for privacy. It's better than firefox but perhaps worse than mullvad or some other alternatives if what you're looking for is purely privacy.
I'm eagerly awaiting for the next release because in firefox 145 they fixed an issue with fractional scaling on wayland that was bugging me off for fucking AGES and everyone in this god forsaken board denied.

u a real nigga for this, i lost that stupid extension and youtube just was pure ass without it.

had to go to my other computer that had it still installed and extract it just to install it manually

>>107125599
are you dumb, you will be installing an extension that was verified, literally the same file. what do you think will happen?
Anonymous No.107127668 [Report]
mine still looks like this

You can find the Firefox extension on the dev's site. It's very slow at times for some reason. It's too bad he's not updating it anymore, but it's probably feature complete already. I've installed the Chromium one out of curiosity and the only differences were some minor UI control panel improvements.

Firefox works fine in most cases. It does help to have a Chromium backup for niche cases. But nothing Chromium comes anywhere close to Firefox's customizability.

on chromium or safari it's 1-2%, firefox still can't fucking get hardware accel working. Battery is worse and scrolling is noticeably laggier on some websites

Try using a CPU made in the last 10 years or something. This only jumped when I took a snip of my screen and it's normally hovering at like 2%.
