I got an M3 Air ipad and I have to say I do regret it a bit.
Didn't break or anything, but it feels too restrictive.
As it was my first apple device I expected high quality software both from apple and from the developers that make "paid gold standard apps" like procreate and whatnot.
Always thought android didn't have shit on it at that level, I'm mostly a desktop user.
Turns out apple devices, at least this ipad really is just a toy.
The supposed gold standard apps are rather basic and nothing about them felt particularly good.
It glitched out and had more defects than my Chinese shitphones. The limitations were certainly felt especially in the browser department.
Had that touch disease issue they call it where if you didn't touch the device itself to ground it I guess it was less responsive. Noticed too late, but somehow it was fixed.
It also only has a 60hz screen which is fine, but I also bought a cheap 120hz phone later on and it feels much better. It is significant.
The pen needs to be charged 24/7 or if you let its battery run out to 0% it just dies forever apparently. Meaning you have to have it attached all day or risk losing a 200€ pencil. It also saps the battery over the day.
Performance isn't all that great either and it heats up during shit like master duel. I feel like I would be happier with it if I didn't buy this "higher end" shit and just bought the cheapest standard A16(?) ipad as a toy.
I wanted it to be my "normie device" so I could run questionable shit on my PC and have something for normie shit like medical documents, legal stuff, tax stuff, work stuff, general interactions with normies stuff.
It's serviceable for that purpose. It does not feel premium at all.
TL:DR; software was the biggest disappointment from the whole thing. Even if I ignore the limitations (big if), the quality isn't there.
The cheaper 120hz phone I got was a samsung A56.
My next tablet will be samsung as well if they make a decent aspect ratio one.
