there's this startup I have with my long-time friends from highschool, myself and another guy are all software, the other 2 went to college for business "degrees". the other dev wrote a step by step of how to setup a dev environment so they can run an emulator of our app and see what new stuff we're putting together. One of the nondev guys says he followed the guide but was having trouble starting the project with the shell script he wrote, when I asked him for pictures of his terminal he had changed the text color to lime green. It's been literal months and every time we bring it up in conversation its just as funny as the first time

They used green phosphor because it was the cheapest way to make a monitor that bright enough to be legible, not because it was good for actual use. This rationale is not relevant today, and it has not been in the last 40 years for desktop users. Only reasons to use black screen with green text today are retardation, autism, or style (i.e. faggotry)

No, but I do have an oscilloscope. And yeah those old green IBM era monitors were cool as fuck, but not really practical. Had one that my dad had back in the 80’s.

Brendan Eich (White man) wrote the language the internet runs on in 10 days under intense pressure. No fancy startup just an employee with a job to do. If you can make something better go right ahead.

If you weren't a retard you would know that this means it's not good. But then, you're here defending javascript so we already knew you suck.
