Nvidia's Jensen Huang: 'China is going to win the AI race
Oh no bros, it's over. China has defeated us in the A.I. race. Why exactly is China beating us at A.I.? What are they doing better than us? Is it their new image recognition A.I. technique to save on tokens?

Anyone with a brain knew this back in 2016 when trump won and the progressives tried to run hillary

China is going to be the sole global superpower in the future. America is regressing into a third world country. Culturally it's already here:
>nobody trusts each other
>everyone scams and grifts each other
>rampant populism and the death of individuality
>loss of freedoms celebrated by everyone
>food being restricted
>secret police to disappear anyone who complains too much
>pumping money into military propaganda and funding to raid neighboring nations like a failed third world african nation
>death of education
>failing infrastructure
>inability to organize infrastructure projects and complete them in a reasonable time (<3 years)

They have automation to pick up the slack for them. The real estate crashes is the work of the govt not allowing prices to run up to retarded level like what their mutt counterparts are allowing. Supposedly ghost town villages are owned by people who work on cities and are used on weekends. And when their population growth builds up again.
But sure, keep believing Gordon Chang who has been wrong since 1999 lmao.

I walked past him while on the hiking trial north of Apple campus in Austin, TX this year right before he announced they would make a chip facility in Bushy Creek. He doesn't think it will be enough. Frankly I don't blame him. China is pulling ahead and will be the only game in town after their total obliteration of Taiwan in 2027. BTW the chip factory hasn't broken ground here in Austin.

it's so funny how they try to fearmonger with china when china doesn't really give a shit about ai, they see it as chatbots for summarizing text and translating, a tool like many others. the americans are the only ones treating it like the new technological miracle that will save the world (and more importantly, the american economy) and basically summon a machine-god that will produce infinite profits forever

China is likely to win the AI race because Nvidia undermined its own position through short-sighted greed. Instead of using its lead to innovate and produce GPUs with significantly higher VRAM capacity for AI workloads, as China is now doing, Nvidia chose to inflate prices and limit performance improvements between generations. Their behavior during the 2020 GPU shortage, when they prioritized profit over their partners and customers, eroded trust in the U.S. market.

When the U.S. government restricted Nvidia from selling advanced chips to China for “national security” reasons, it unintentionally pushed China to develop its own GPU and semiconductor industry. Out of necessity, China built an ecosystem capable of sustaining itself. With their centralized coordination, long-term planning, and technical determination, they are now on track to produce GPUs that could rival or surpass Nvidia’s, designed exclusively for their domestic market.

It is ironic that a country claiming to represent free-market capitalism is now faltering while a nation built on state direction advances through discipline and collective focus. A similar pattern was seen in 1930s Germany, where the government, under strong leadership mobilized every resource toward national development. It took the world more than a decade to dismantle that regime. Xi Jinping himself has acknowledged certain historical parallels between modern China and that regime, but with one major difference: this time, Western democracies do not have the leverage to stop a rising global power.

>Why exactly is China beating us at A.I.? What are they doing better than us?
it's not just AI, they're beating us at everything and nobody seems to care for some reason
>america has invested 20x more in ICE than tech, crippled h1-b and other immigration programs
>europe is not investing in anything at all, so the talent leaves
>russia is heavily sanctioned 4 years into a crippling war economy
>india is an unlivable hellscape, so the talent leaves

China has quietly invested in itself and unified for 3 decades and not wasted time in pointless conflicts, and just as importantly the cost of living is like 70% cheaper in China even in the cities so their talent would be absolutely retarded to leave and go anywhere else.

Why would anyone care though?
America is done, culturally and spiritually first and foremost.
Trump is a joke, and the left is a tragedy.
Your once dominant media has become unwatchable and vomit-inducing.
Your diplomacy is bordering insanity, starting shit with Russia and letting Israel go rabid.

Nobody outside America cares who is the world leader, as long as he is sane.
And America is no longer sane.

And Americans themselves, they don't care either.
Your economy is shit, what kept America together was the American dream.
Work hard and you will get rewarded.
But now the rich have decided they no longer wanna reward you, and want to keep every single shekel for themselves.
The American dream is dead and therefore so is America.
And yeah your shitty economy is reflected on all your vassals, which is one more reason nobody wants America anymore.

I can't wait for China to take over desu.

>A similar pattern was seen in 1930s Germany, where the government, under strong leadership mobilized every resource toward national development.
Not really, nazi germany was one of the most libertarian governments in the region at the time. You could say this for italy, where the government managed most of the national industrial assets through the inri, but the nazi party had a very strong ideological commitment towards the private sector. The idea was that the industrialists were a higher race within, or the better exponent of, the german race as a whole. For them there was no such thing as class, only caste, which meant race.

From the /g/ point of view, this meant that for example, at the launch of their invasion of the Soviet Union, the german army used more than 1500 different types of trucks and motorized vehicles for logistics, because they bought products from the free market so to speak. Compare that to any of the other major belligerents that had a normal, state-guided, military industrial complexes that were commanded to produce only a limited number of models to facilitate logistics (less variety of spare parts, manuals, and so on).

Another thread about this? The problem with the importance of this quote is how relevant is "AI" going to be in the future. So far it seems it's only used to inflate markets, excuse may layoffs and not much else. So if "winning" the AI race results in their bubble popping faster than our bubble, I don't see why China would want to win that one.

When you replace a people in their own country through demographic change, should you be surprised when nobody gives a damn if it fails? The parties representing the people only seem to represent the views of different forms of immigrants now. There is nothing worth fighting for. One party is a corpse and the other party is the maggots feasting on the corpse.

Also, what's up with all the (You) spammers.
Ironically, mass posting all of the spammers gets me dedicated as spam.

The WEF is the one that set the precedent that the country that controls AI will lead the next century. It's the usual suspects that are chasing geese and using their puppets to hunt for snipe in attempts to build data centers and internet ids for population monitoring and control. NO MORE EPSTEINS...being discovered.

Wrong, it is whoever actually masters nuclear energy (fission and fusion). China is on the course for this. The AI/ML is just cover for white collar automation that will gut out the "service economy" that dominated post-Cold War I USA and EU.

This has been mastered a long time ago before the first cold war, at least the fission portion. You're confused. Laser's producing cross stream is the new untested methods for higher efficiency output.

Negative, nuclear energy was never mastered not even fission. It was abandoned after a few incidents that gave public cold feet. China is taking abandoned blueprints of USA's nuclear R&D back in the 1970s for its own.
We have tapped out on what can accomplished with chemical energy (hydrocarbons). Without mastery of nuclear energy. The whole AI/ML movement will die once all of the chemical energy reserves dry out.
