This is the greatest smartphone ever created. Everything that came after it is derivative or needs a gimmick to stand out.

It's the last time something actually changed.

To be fair, they did change something with the new iPhone Air, but "Less battery, shittier sound, no physical SIM, higher temperature and higher price, and all you get is a thinner phone" is not a good pitch.

If only I could call and text from my x86 gaming handheld and have 5g data, then I wouldn't need a phone at all.

Loved mine. 6s with 18 Pro internals would be sweet.

I like my Samsung Flip. It's way worse than any normal phone. But at least I'm having fun opening it one-handed, as in the good old days. Besides, you can shit in twitter and message relatives with any phone nowadays.

My dad still uses his 3T. Can't convince him to switch to something relevant

iPhone designs peaked here. the iPhone 5S and SE are good too, but I don't like the design change to iOS 7+.

That's what everyone thought just before Steve Jobs walked on stage. You might hate the faggot (or not), but he did pull magic rabbits out of his ass.

oof. illustrates the current societal brainrot perfectly. how does someone compose that post and not pause to think?
oh wait, because it probably wasn't seen by human eyes until it was actually already published

none of the i products were particularly novel
they were just the most successful adaptation
apple won because their products were coherent

after moving to the steve jobs wet dream of edge to edge magic sheet of glass theres nothing left to improve on
make it a bit thinner, make it a bit bigger, nothing fundamentally changes
it's a television, solved technology, with only incremental improvements forwards

The last decade they've mostly been improving the cameras, including the processing power to do all sorts of filters and autocalculations that make the pictures look nice.
That's why everyone with a modern iphone can take professional looking photos now.
As long as they can keep making the images look better from the latest phones, people will keep feeling the need to upgrade every few years.

What did they innovate besides selling your data and preventing you from ever owning the device through walled gardens?
