I don't know about you but I've seen 3-4 datacenters for AI being built or already built in a 70 mile radius of me.

So I guess there's jobs and the experience? All i see is the increase in local expenses as my utilities go up for the Nth time in the last two years. Why? Because the data centers wont pay for themselves.

It is our last and best chance. I think its safe to assume there is an 80% probability this will pan out and then we become the planetary behemoth America used to be in the best of times. The tech people are rarely wrong and they are ALL of them all in on AI so its a safe bet. You will live a very good life thanks to Sam Altman and Donald Trump.

If this doesn't pan out, well then we are fucked and going to be reduced to just being an American power, there will be wars as we subjugate Canada and South America and for the rest of your life your living standard will probably drop. The rest of the world will just be Russia and China.

The US is spending every dollar possible on AI. It is the only choice. AI is the future. The US has gained merely a place in the race. China is ahead. We need to spend more than possible on AI to seize ASI before China so we can be the rulers of our own fate.

Imagine the ghost cities americans could be building next to new york or san francisco to solve the housing crisis, instead they waste money like this.
Billions of dollars in residential skyscrapers could have solved the housing problem

yea i can see how tearing down the country so they can throw more and more compute and energy at the chatbot technology is going to somehow catapult NA into solving the main crises in the coming decades. btw those crises are the exact things that pursuing AI is aggravating lol, like energy and institutional entropy

You people will never achieve AI. You just fucking won't. You have no fucking idea what you're doing. You're not even fucking close.

You can't just manifest a person out of silicon. You need to know how a person thinks, you need to know how a neural network actually grows and is built. The kind of research necessary for this is something that I'll make damn sure that you never fucking do again.
