>100W incandescent light
>100W LED light
>the LED is supposedly more power efficient

>supposedly lasts longer
>buy it and install it
>half its pixels die by the next year or it starts flickering

Has anyone sued LED manufacturers on these 2 points for false advertising?

apparently "they" did the same shit with the incandescent bulbs. they could make those last forever but they had a meeting of all the mfrs in the 1920's or something where they agreed to standardize and make them burn out with regularity. it's always the same game

LEDs are long living but their PSU are shit as fuck. I used to get components from them as you can find them in loads.

you can just buy an incandescent designed to run at higher voltages, and then undervolt it and it will burn forever.

That's a pretty good idea actually. So what, I buy a 220 bulb???

yeah a very high output 220v bulb should burn about as bright as a house bulb under 120v mains.
