I installed it last week out of curiosity and runs all my stuff fine
In comparison, latest Fedora livecd just gave me fulscreen graphical artifacts 30s after booting

not sure what magic they worked over there but this distro somehow fixed the dogshit swapchain issues I was having with arch
same proton version, mesa, radv etc, it just works better somehow
good enough to dualboot for games that need it

I think it's all a bit overblown. The mascot seems to be only part of their press kit and visible in like one spot on their website. As far as I know, most people will never ever see it.

This. PC gaming is exclusively a millennial and older zoomer activity. The majority of zoomers are legal adults. So, this is only "targeting" people of the ages 18-40.

Children play games on their mobile phone or on Switch, or don't even play games and just browse tiktok, youtube or twitch all day.
