Win7 like login in Win11
Is it possible to have this type of logon screen with Win11?
Preferably with users that don't require a password, just clicking them logs them in, like Win7 did.

This is what is unironically still installed on the machine, it's used by a group of old people living together.
Every couple of years I try to replace it with something newer, but it's always more cumbersome to use, so I never go through with it. I upgraded the hardware some years ago, using the same Win7 installation on it, it's absurd how quick and user friendly this PC is, if there wasn't the security risc issue I would never want to change it.

install a linux distro and customize the login screen, just don't give anyone the root password, certain linux login screens still allow "just click"

and old people are just using facebook, a web browser is a web browser is a web browser. use ukui/kde and just say "this is the new windows UI" they'll never know

A lot of hacking.

There is a registry tweak for auto login, however that logs in the recent user so you have to log out and then select another user.

experimented with that on a secondary PC, and for webbrowsing they already sometimes use that, and for stuff like online banking.
but they play some stupid card games that exist only for windows, and a couple of them just love their old Excel etc., those old versions before the ribbon shit.

mhm, fooled around with some hacks like that on a win10 install, but never felt really right.

There is no security risk.

Keep the firewall and AV enabled + update the latter, don't open any risky emails/attachments, don't visit shady sites (especially not without ublock etc enabled), that's literally it
