Mid 30's here - no degree, been doing mostly frontend crap for the last 12 years. I'm not good at my job and I enjoy learning less and less. Been getting paid less and less too.

Don't know if even want to get a CS degree but then again I have no idea what else to do that would pay me as much starting out. Anything medical feels out of reach and that it's too late. I need to make at least $120k to be comfortable

Hey I started with data just to get a job in a decent company and networked my way into the company's SOC. The goal was always cybersecurity, but right now I need food on the table.

Trying to find a full-time job outside of tech for the time being (however many years the "time being" might actually be at this rate). Want full time so I can actually get benefits. Warehouse seems like the obvious but there's next to nothing hiring right now and I've already been rejected by the few I could try. Not much else that doesn't require certs or other qualifications I don't have. My options left are like Walmart which pays a depressing as fuck $16 an hour or similar that pay the same. Or there are some basic receptionist type positions for random businesses in the area but every time I try to apply to them they ask for a resume, experiences, education, and I am way to over-qualified. What to do in this scenario? I cannot tell them my education or that my last position was a senior level engineering position. I was also really hoping I could find something even vaguely related to what I do for some relevant experience but mostly given up on that. There were only two labs near me offering entry level lab work but haven't heard back from them. There's a grave digger position open near me and I really want to apply to that but feel I am wholly under qualified as I have no idea how to use a backhoe or edge bushes and I think they would just be mad at me if I applied.
