Mouse Thread
What mouse are you using? Thinking about getting this. How is it compared to the MX Vertical?

I actually prefer the 305, because I'll just swap my rechargeable batteries every ~2-3weeks

What model is this? Looks clean. The rubber pads they put on the sides of most mice drive me insane.

Let me introduce you to the Logitech B100. It costs $8 and it works and it has worked for the past several years without issue.
For this reason, I cannot recommend anything more expensive.

SteelSeries Rival 310

Clean your mice, bros. Even just running a toothpick through the crevices (or a metal needle, straightened hairpin or something like that just to be safe). My mouse starts double-clicking from the side buttons or even makes scrolling difficult and sluggish if it isn't cleaned every once in a while. Otherwise, it's a decent mouse and rather cheap, I've owned it for many years.

I got the Logitech Lift sideways mouse thing and it's one of my biggest tech purchase regrets. It's fucking stupid, expensive, and even then the button stopped registering clicks within like a year. Just get a non-ambidextrous mouse instead.

I have it and it's great, no complaints, it's basically a flagship sensor in a vertical shell
The only possible upgrade from it is to make it lighter and it's not like 100g is even heavy
Used to have logi lift and that shit felt filthy and the plastic and rubber on it loved to absorb grime and skin oil

Recently got the Keychron M6 8K. I originally wanted to get the recent MX Master 4 that came out, but that 125Hz polling rate is abysmal.

I'm not going to pretend that I can tell the difference between a 500Hz or a 8000Hz polling rate on my mouse, but the fact that Logitech couldn't even put in a polling rate that surpasses my monitor's refresh rate is just embarrassing.

Keychron M6 had a similar shape, far better performance, much lighter, and half the price.
Anonymous No.107175487 [Report]
was not cheap but my mouse hand has been finnicky since I tried changing keyboards one year...somehow it just blew everything to shit. I should try some PT or something.
But this does help.

My G603 is dying and I want to replace it with something similar in ergonomics (the G305 ergonomics are also fine) that supports dual connection and has a decent sensor.

>>107176536
Anon, the MX Master 4 is around 150g... That is one of the heaviest mice that Logitech sells.

If you prefer heavier mice then all the power to you. But you're objectively wrong to consider it "quite light" unless your previous mouse was a rock.

based. it even has hotswap switches in the case of double clicking happening. hopefully v3 would allow changing scroll click or the remaining parts.

I switched from an MX Vertical to this, the MX would still strain my wrist after long sessions, I've not encountered that once since switching.
The MX is worse in every way except maybe the texture, it feels slightly more premium compared to the plastic shell of the Keychron but its rubber coating will degrade over time.

This is my third logitech, previous was G502 Hero (wired) and that replaced whatever the prior one was. They last like 2-3 years before the clicking gets mushy. What should I buy to replace it? The battery only lasts like two days now, and want something tactile that has the curser movement speed buttons, wireless, and works on linux.

Been using the Keychron M6 for a while. enjoying it a lot so far.
I used to have the mx master 3s but after the warranty period ended it started failing. mainly that the scroll wheel stopped working properly and the mouse buttons wouldn't click right. plus the rubber was starting to wear off.
Been using the m6 for a long while now and have had absolutely 0 issues with it so far other than it being a bit less grippy (but i got used to that really quickly)

Yeah maybe i exaggerated, my other mouse is a mx518 (god bless it) and comparing it directly its significantly lighter, still, i didnt perceive the mx4 as too heavy first time using it

So far i like the mx4, though the forward/back buttons are suboptimal placed and the extra button at their front even more so

I'm not much of an FPS gamer, the only first-person games I've played since getting it are Abiotic Factor, Peak and REPO. While none of those are particularly fast paced games, in all cases I had no issues with quick movements, accuracy, or wrist pains (where as my old MX Vertical did sometimes still give me pain and had a noticeably worse sensor for games in comparison).
Anonymous No.107184128 [Report]
Got myself an Asus ProArt mouse instead of an MX Master, since they are piss cheap now. Basically the same thing, but with a non-shit polling rate. No complaints so far, except there's presumably no macOS support.

I've been eying this mouse for a while now. Do you know if it can actually be used wired? The product page only mentions it once "USB Wired" and doesn't elaborate further on it than that.
I currently use a Logitech MX Master 3S, which I can use while charging, but the USB-C connection is power only, so for it to function it also needs to be connected wireless with either bluetooth or the dongle (thus taking up 2 USB ports).
Also is the side scroll wheel made of plastic or metal?

Is there a modern variant of the logitech g600 made by anyone? My last one has a scroll wheel that is dying and I can't fix it anymore because I had to glue it back together when I swapped the switches last time.

I don't need all 12 thumb buttons on the side, but I love the ring finger button. It seems that practically nobody makes mice with that anymore, and I use it as a modifier key for CAD macros as well as my push to talk bind.

> Do you know if it can actually be used wired?
Yea, there's a switch on the bottom that can swap between using Bluetooth, USB wire, and the USB Dongle that it comes with.
