i am agnostic, i know (not believe) the current AI we have now is merely a robot (a program), a very powerful robot but still one and nothing more.
the real problem is the AGI, from what i understood about people like Sam Altman, they want to create an intelligent being and from my point of view, since the data fed to this hypothetical "being" is of human nature, then they're trying to create a human from nothing just like a mother who creates life, that why i believe AGI would think like a human, but it's also a program, so i guess they'd be able to suppress its "feeling" if they really cared about controlling it but knowing people like Altman, i think they're just trying to create one as fast as possible and then sort the problems later (typical of american techbros, almost all of them think like this, there's plenty of interviews where they say so), so the AGI might be out of control by then.
for the rest of the world, Chinese are control freaks, i don't doubt one second they'd make it impossible for the AGI to have feelings, desire of conquest and such, it'd be more like a tool for them, and in Europe it would probably be made illegal since the only serious AI company is French and doesn't care about AGI but only about super fast "normal" AI (robot).
either way, normalcattle is going to have a hard time with surveillance measures because they don't know how to use their computers (and most only have smartphones with freedomless environments like IOS).
or maybe a solar flare will wipe it all out but that'd suck because i like vidya and my anime folder is huge (and i won't be able to fap to Abigail Shapiro's titties except by memory).
