Probqbly not. Most people don't draw a parallel between gibs and tax. "This money isn't coming from the taxpayers, its coming from the government, you silly goose!" They also have a hard time grasping the systematic impact of gibs on the taxpayer. Its like "the government has trillions so a few thousand a month is nothing to them!". To them, this is no diffent than showing off that you won 10k on a lottery ticket.

Theres a lot of entitlement. Back in the day, the church would help people in the community who were down on their luck. The donors and the recipients would be able to face eachother so there would be some humility and appreciation and an urgency to get on their feet and pay it forward. I think we need to go back to that and remove social assistance. By the government acting as the middle man for their "charity" it separates the donors from the recipients so it removes the shame. A lot of these people just expect the gibs and, rather than be appreciative, theyre salty that it isn't more. They feel that they are owed the gibs because of x, y and z. I see a lot of it in my commie circles on Facebook.

Man I would NOT be telling anyone about that. Sounds like an awesome way to get your benefits cut, either personally or across the board. If you're able to save more than $1000, you're getting paid too much
