It probably does to some extent, but the issue is that there's very little narrative incentive to bother with this sort of set up for most doujins. Knowing the girl is either taken or an object of interest changes the way the guy and girl are meant to interact, including how the sex plays out, and that sort of appeal is what underpins NTR as a genre. If you take that out of the picture at least at first because the guy is just unaware, then there's no real adherance to the genre other than "Hmm, this girl seems strangely resistant" or something like that.

It could be solved if that was only the inciting incident of a much larger, multi-series plot, but most doujins don't go for that sort of length and narrative arc, so again, unlikely.
