Payment processing companies being an oligopoly with effective control over the technical/logistical side of digital consumer markets is a problem in itself, but it merely facilitates and enables censorship, it's not the root cause.
There shouldn't be any economic incentive for payment processing companies to censor anything: the more transactions there are, the more money they make in commission and the better for them, regardless of what the nature of the transaction is.

The bigger question for me is: how and why does a relatively small and random group like Collective Shout have such influence over the decisions of the payment processing companies in the first place?
