Well of course, it is designed to tug on the heart strings after all. How else will an artist ensure you keep coming back for more? This daemonic construct requires emotional manipulation and nothing does that better than preying on the weaknesses (our sins and insecurities) of humanity. You could theoretically make a song about anything but how many will listen to you sing about beautiful birds over immoral sexual relationships?
>Why do you keep focusing on just popular music when there is so much more out there?
I don't as I said it can get way more filthy. The thing is pop is actually one of the least disgusting because it gets tested by the public not to exceed current moral bounds. But even if I did, pop/rap/etc is what the vast majority of people listen to so it would be wise to warn people against this popular drug.

You need to realize that 'music' as you know it was largely invented in the 20th-century. Before mass media, people weren't constantly stimulated as they are today. "No music allowed" was very easy to go by
Anonymous No.17753766 >>17753769
The guitar (the most popular instrument of all time) was invented by Muslims under their conquest of the Iberian Penninsula. The root word of guitar, 'tar' is literally the sanskrit word for "string" which is why you get similar sounding instruments like the Sitar
Anonymous No.17753769 >>17753775 >>17754666
>>17753766
>The word "guitar" ultimately derives from the ancient Greek word "kithara," which referred to a lyre-like instrument. This word then evolved through various languages: Latin ("cithara"), Spanish ("guitarra"), and finally into English as "guitar". The modern guitar, as we know it, is a descendant of these earlier stringed instruments.

guitar
Etymology:
>From Spanish guitarra, from Arabic قِيثَارَة (qīṯāra), from Ancient Greek κῐθᾰ́ρᾱ (kĭthắrā). Doublet of cithara, cither and zither.
So in other words both origins are technically correct
Anonymous No.17753784 >>17753795

Well no, because ancient greek predates your claim, and muslims didn't invent the guitar as we know it today, Christian Frederick Martin did, an evolution of that type of instrument which again, goes back to ancient Greece.

C.F. Martin did indeed invent the guitar as we know it today but where we get the word for Guitar is clearly from Arabic-Spanish regardless of its ultimate Greek origin. There are a handful of similar instruments found throughout the Muslim world such as the Dutar
>Its name comes from the Persian word for "two strings", دوتار do tār (< دو do "two",تار tār "string"), although the Herati dutar of Afghanistan has fourteen strings.
So sure, if you want to be pedantic you could argue the Guitar comes from the Greek Lyre and if you really wanted to be pedantic I guess you could also argue in favor of C.F. Martin

History disagrees with you, this is a baseless claim while I have brought up someone who attested to the existence of the others
>through who?
>The Holy Spirit.
Okay so you are again saying he came down in his bird form to compile your books into the canon.

Modern day music is mind programming for sinful behavior. It is a lyric that you repeat over and over again with a catchy tune so that twenty years later you still remember every letter of the song and can perfectly recite it word for word at the trigger of the sound of the beat and it randomly plays in your head through the years. The music installed triggers in you. You are brainwashed by it. It's stuck in your head forever. They have hidden spirit invocations inside the lyrics and they also contain prayers to devils, enchantments and spells and when you sing them you invoke demons in your life and cast spells on yourself.

If you listened to Eminem you likely hate women.

Those who run the industry are demon worshippers who made contracts with the devils and sold their souls. And they belong to a religion of spirit mounters. They allow spirits to mount them and work through them and write songs that are glorifying Satan and the music praises the false gods and many songs are in their honor and are prayers to them.

Many hate songs and breakup songs and things like that are actually dedicated to God and you sing along a song that is a hate letter to God.

It teaches you to be rebellious and sinful.

>it gives you the earliest understanding from the people that were companions
We have no written accounts from any of Muhammad's companions. 99% of Hadith are third-hand accounts at best of what Muhammad supposedly said and did generations ago. I understand some crusty old cleric insisting on their provenance but nobody else has any reason to take them seriously. If Allah wanted an explicit ban on music why would He use vague euphemistic language like "idle talk" instead of being explicit?

>it's impossible for people to teach others
>ignore the countless narrations that come from different chains and are found in different compilations and the collective knowledge of the muslims in these areas that has survived in various works
You are aware that even secular scholars don't say they are useless. Instead they use different methodologies like ICMA (which btw traditional scholars have also done in some form in addition to pure isnad only criticism http//drjonathanbrown.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/How-We-Know-Early-Hadith-Critics-Did-Matn-Criticism-and-Why-Its-So-Hard-to-Find.pdf) to determine what the original form of the statement was. There's nothing vague about it, the term also applies to multiple things such as https://sunnah.com/abudawud:1112 so why would it say singing only? Also scholars take christian writings seriously even if the texts do not claim they were there. You have no idea how history works

And yet the Muslim world has always had plenty of music, as only the hardcore fundies have ever been able to enforce this ban in any faith. Islamic music and love poetry had a huge influence on Europe, via the troubadours.
At the moment I’m watching Arabic music videos where the women are almost as slutty and scantily clad as in the west. Interesting mix of trad and outside influences, haram for much of the Islamic world but they’re probably Lebanese.
