atheists or atheism might die as the meme it is but I will never let them live it down, by keeping on pretending to take it seriously.

It is indeed my opinion that god doesn't exist. As such, I am not going to pretend he does. Have a good day!

Religious scholars do take atheism quite seriously, both as a philosophical position and as a phenomenon. By saying that you do not take atheism seriously, you are implicitly dismissing the work of your own religion's intellectual heavyweights.

I'm one of those, I do take atheism seriously, I do not see the existence of atheists, people who identify as one, as irrational, but completely understandable, from an emotional point of view.
Not their pretentious intellectualism. That's where it gets into sigma meme territory.

You mean like new atheist shit? Yeah that's comical, but in terms of actual philosophy, both theist and atheist philosophers are respectable and produce good arguments imo.

Again, you don't have be on guard, atheism is an emotional stance, they don't have a single purely rational argument and I'm not gonna get on my high horse and dismiss it as one, emotions are not irrational, but I'm also not gonna pretend emotions over rationality is not ultimately irrational.
I already said I understand the existence of atheists. People are just people man, like animals from a bird's point of view. We can't help but be what we are. Be dumb or different.

Then you are actually dismissing the work of your religion's scholars (if you do subscribe to a religion) given that unlike you, they do take the arguments of atheist philosophers seriously.

You're getting into appeal to authority fallacy and pop culture territory.
Talk as you are.
Also, they probably hold the same sentiment I did, might is right. And God is almighty.

>You're getting into appeal to authority fallacy
Appeal to an actual authority isn't fallacious, and in any case I'm not even strictly doing that - I am simply saying that you are dismissing these scholars, not that they are correct.
>and pop culture territory
Academic philosophy is not pop culture.
>might is right
You are equivocating on the term "right". The "right" in "might is right" refers to moral oughts, not propositional truth.
>they probably hold the same sentiment I did
They mostly don't.

The alternative is guided evolution. God made the universe and the natural laws that govern it, including the evolutionary process. I don't know why this is so hard for fundamentalist christians while catholics, famous for burning people at the stake, got it right.

Lots of Catholics don't believe in evolution, it's just that there's no dogma concerning evolution or lack thereof, so many end up believing in evolution, especially in first world countries.
