Islam if practiced correctly leads to very high levels of spiritual and mental peace.

Exodus 4:24–26

24. At a lodging place on the way fthe Lord met him and gsought to put him to death. 25 Then hZipporah took a iflint and cut off her son’s foreskin and touched Moses’1 feet with it and said, “Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me!” 26 So he let him alone. It was then that she said, “A bridegroom of blood,” because of the circumcision.

Islam has this guy chasing a rock naked beating it with a stick as well so I think that answers your question

Anyone who was forced to accept Islam (such as being born into it and forced by parents subsequently) and wants to leave the faith is mentioned as excused in the Quran without even the danger of hell afaik. If you converted and then leave, the Hadith literature mentions a man going to the prophet and asking to leave the faith and the hadith says he allowed it. So basically there are more evidence that allow apostasy or at least equal than that which forbids it

The scriptures aren't on my fingertips and I read it and then forgot which verse it was and which hadiths they were or where they are located in the corpus. Sorry.

It is all a matter of definition. Anyone can be a theist if they define God as some sort of metaphysical entity.
