A country is not a house, and immigration benefits the US by most measurable standards. Immigrant labor is subsidizing the lifestyles of millions of native born Americans. Furthermore the immigrants culturally and intellectually have more in common with blue collar workers than they do the nations elite, particularly the left wing elite. Most citizen Latinos would be voting republican if the republicans were not constantly signalling they hate them.

You argue that the fact crime decreased to "merely" 5 homicides/100k as America got more non-white is proof that race has nothing to do with crime. And yet, the relationship between areas populated by non-whites and violent crime is apparent, both then and now.
I argue that if America's racial demographics had remained constant, violent crime would have declined much further, probably to less than 2 homicides/100k as can be seen in US states that are still relatively white today.
