The Devil isn’t real he’s sin personified. When he is tempting Jesus it’s not actually a guy but instead Jesus’s human urge to commit sin which he fights against and wins unlike everyone else.

The idea is that he, as the leader of the angels that fell to earth, was the first to champion the Son because the Son redeemed their fall.

Specifically, the fallen angels bred into existence the white race, a race with the spirit of God which was cast from (can't return to) paradise/edin (a simple state of animal existence).

But in Christ, as his body, they have license to establish and maintain their kingdom, Christendom, the kingdom of heaven upon the earth.

Doesn't exist. It isn't a name, but a title.
Lucifer "shining one" was just the king of Babylon.
Satan also doesn't exist as an entity. It's a mistranslation of "adversary", a generic word for "the other guy", which was mistranslated from "the adversary" common noun (satan) to "The Adversary" name (Satan).
i.e. The Devil, as an entity is actually a Zoroastrian construct. It isn't originally Abrahamic and doesn't exist in the original texts.
Which means it almost certainly entered as the Church included many Pagan elements in the 3rd century, along with The Trinity etc.
