>Cousin marriage and islam aren't really related
yes they are. look at the map. Are you really telling yourself that it's just a double coincidence that the borders between both Christendom and islamic civilization (greece vs turkey), and india and islamic civilization (india vs pakistan) just so happen to have much higher rates of cousin marriage inbreeding on the islamic side of the border ?
> it's just that places where islam spread were mostly tribal/clan based societies and so cousin marriage was prevalent.
India was and was also tribal yet has significantly lower rates of inbreeding than pakistan.
>There's nothing in Islamic law/theology that encourages or even mentions cousin marriage
Totally wrong. Islamic law explicitly allows cousin marriage by stating which familial relations are not allowed to marry and not mentioning first cousins
This is spelled out in quran 4:23
By contrast roman law, which forbade first cousin marriage was the norm in the eastern roman empire of Anatolia, middle east and north africa, which were mostly christian roman lands (at least in the populated city centres) before islam conquered them.
everything in your post is wrong cope because you can't accept that muslim cousin marriage inbreeding has had a devastating depressing effect on the IQ, human capial and genetic quality of what used to be near the forefront of human civilization.
