why would romans invent a religion that requires them to destroy all their temples, statues, culture and rituals though, makes no sense.

It was obviously JEWS who invented Jesus and the Roman elites were dumb goys who fell for it

It is very likely that this fictional character called Jesus was created by the Roman elite to

1- justify the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem

2- try to give the Jews a messiah in favor of Rome

3- after the Crisis of the Third Century, when the Empire was in ruins, to make slaves, the poor and servants accept their situation of oppression in exchange for eternal life.

Aurelian had already created a semi-monotheism with the religion of Sol Invictus that he created on December 25, 274. Then he just put this Jesus in the place of Sol Invictus and said that all the poor have to endure suffering and humiliation in silence like the so-called Jesus-Sun-God endured

I watched a documentary where he tried to recreate the wax figure of ceasar on a troparion that was shown to masses in rome after he died. I was open to the idea but after watching the documentary and hearing his platform I dunno, I think its probably the weakest of all these sort of claims

What is the plan, that the Romans made up Christianity, then decided that actually they hated it for a few centuries, before then going, "might as well convert", at the end of the Empire?

>Davis, Henry H. Creating Christianity: A Weapon of Ancient Rome
This guy’s a self-taught “historian” who thinks he’s cracked the Da Vinci Code because he read some Tacitus. His whole shtick is that Arrius Piso, a random Roman senator, wrote the New Testament to pacify Jews.
>but Arrius Piso was Flavius Josephus
No primary source backs this. It’s numerology-tier nonsense, stringing together names like a schizo on a conspiracy board. Davis cherry-picks parallels between Josephus and the Gospels, ignoring that typology was a Jewish literary tradition, not a Roman psyop. The Church Fathers, from Ignatius to Irenaeus, were real, not Piso’s sock puppets. Where’s the evidence for this grand cover-up? Oh right, it’s “self-evident” if you squint hard enough. Retard.

>Valliant, James. Creating Christ: How Roman Emperors Invented Christianity
Valliant and his buddy Fahy think Vespasian and Titus cooked up Christianity to tame Jewish rebels.
>but muh archaeological evidence proves it
What, the dolphin-anchor coins? That’s a stretch even Dan Brown wouldn’t touch. Symbols overlap in history; doesn’t mean Rome ghostwrote the Gospels. The New Testament’s pro-Roman bits? Apologetics to avoid persecution, not Flavian fan mail. Eisenman’s praise means jack when he’s a fringe mythicist himself. This is just Atwill’s drivel with extra steps.

>Reuchlin, Abelard. The True Authorship of the New Testament
This clown’s been dead since the 80s, but his ghost still haunts every edgy forum with this Piso nonsense.
>but Piso family wrote the Gospels as a Roman psyop
Pure schizo fever dream. Reuchlin’s “evidence” is just numerological wordplay and cherry-picked names. No manuscripts, no contemporary accounts, just vibes. The Gospels were written in Greek by Jewish Christians, not Latin by some senator’s cousin. Ignatius of Antioch was martyred in 107 AD, quoting the Gospels like they’re legit. Where’s Piso’s paper trail? Oh, right, it’s “hidden” because muh conspiracy. Take your meds.

>Roman, Piso (Stephen Robert Kuta) feat Gallus, Jay. Piso Christ: A Book of the New Classical Scholarship
"New classical scholarship”? More like new age fanfiction. Kuta’s a grifter riding Reuchlin’s coattails, claiming the Pisos were the masterminds behind every verse.
>but muh numerical codes in the texts prove it
What, like gematria for retards? Early Christians were getting fed to lions, not playing Sudoku with Roman aristocrats. The Church’s continuity (from Polycarp to Irenaeus) crushes this ahistorical drivel. Kuta’s “codes” are about as scholarly as a horoscope. Go back to >>>/x/.

>Atwill, Joseph. Caesar’s Messiah: The Roman Conspiracy to Invent Jesus
Atwill’s the king of this tinfoil trash. Thinks Titus Flavius is the “real Jesus” because of some typological parallels.
>but Gospels mirror Flavian campaigns
Yeah, because typology was a Jewish thing, not a Roman fanfic template. Atwill’s “parallels” are so vague they’d fit any war. His timeline’s a mess. Gospels were circulating by 70 AD, before Titus was emperor. No serious historian, not even secular ones, touches this. It’s mythicist cope for people who think “research” means watching YouTube.

Lies, jews created Christianity to destroy Rome. Rome didn't need to create a monotheistic religion that opposed their own Roman polytheism, especially if it was as a weapon against the jews which were genocided without problem.
Anonymous No.17799836

No it didn't, liar. Jews have been extremely privileged in Europe since the time of Theodosius and those expelling is nothing in comparison to the genocide the pagan Romans did against them.
