Consciousness cannot be erased, it's literally impossible. Death is no different from sleep in a sense that it doesn't exist for us. When you go to sleep reality skips time towards your awakening. Death is the same except instead of 7 hours you gonna be skipped through, who knows, trillions of trillions of years? It doesn't matter, eventually the information state that represents your exact consciousness will be replicated again and you will wake up.
