he also said just two verses after that that nothing is impossible with God. It's exactly because the young man is sad at hearing jesus tell him to sell his stuff that he ought to do it : he got attached to the wordly possessions he owns and they come into conflict with the Word of God :
>18Then a certain ruler asked Him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
>19“Why do you call Me good?” Jesus replied. “No one is good except God alone. 20You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not bear false witness, honor your father and mother.”
>21“All these I have kept from my youth,” he said.
>22On hearing this, Jesus told him, “You still lack one thing: Sell everything you own and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”
>23But when the ruler heard this, he became very sad, because he was extremely wealthy.
>24Seeing the man’s sadness, Jesus said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!
>25Indeed, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
>26Those who heard this asked, “Who then can be saved?”
>27But Jesus said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”
>28“Look,” said Peter, “we have left all we hadd to follow You.”
>29“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God
>30will fail to receive many times more in this age—and in the age to come, eternal life.”

Geez, that's grim. I can only infer that by saying people who leave their families receive "many times more in this age" he means many more family members in the sense that the church becomes their family. So, "leave your actual family and replace them with my club based on worshiping me." Jesus was just a cult leader like we see many of today.

It's not the only time He says that families will be broken apart by Him, but He claims that, unlike what you simplify, it isn't that the faithful will want to leave their families, but that their faiths will lead their families to reject them :
>32Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in heaven.
>33But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.
>34Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
>35For I have come to turn
>‘a man against his father,
>a daughter against her mother,
>a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
>36A man’s enemies will be the members
>of his own household.’
>37Anyone who loves his father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me;
>38and anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.
>39Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
Following Jesus here does not mean to literally follow the Man Jesus. Following Jesus means to not deny Him, the Living God, or your love for Him, before others, even if your love of Him drives a wedge between you and family. Because if your family loved you, truly loved you unconditionally as god does, then loving Jesus Christ, the Son of God, would mean nothing.
>12This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

The very last chapter of the world Old Testament says:

>Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.

>“See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the earth with total destruction.

Communism is a forced-at-gunpoint political system. What Jesus would want is free gifts between friends and neighbors often.

The fact that you read "give freely" and see communism says more about you.

Notice the mention of hearts, though. essentially Malachi 4 tells us that families will be made bare before each others; especially considering Malachi as a whole deals with unfaithfulness in Israel.
In revealing your faith in Jesus Christ, sons and daughter, mothers and fathers, and all kinds of family connections bare their hearts. The question is, will Judah, the unfaithful one warned by Malachi, who weeps over the state of its faith and yet lashes out at the righteous, turn their heart to that family or not?

Can you explain more? How are you interpreting these passages any other way than Jesus telling the ruler that he must give away his wealth to the poor to inherit eternal life? Is "What is impossible with man is possible with God.” not Jesus saying that for a man without god to intentionally choose to become poor is insurmountable, but for a man with the moral guidance and relationship with God, he can transcend greed and vanity to devote himself to charity?

You have never lived in a rural area before and it shows, otherwise this verse wouldn’t be contentious but would be second nature to your own behavior. Rednecks are some of the most welcoming and hospitable people on the entire planet. Suspicion of your neighbors is a sign of a low trust society. God desires humans to be at peace with each other. Sadly the ideal of what should be does not reflect what is. This is also the same book that condemns theft and murder with the harshest punishment and stresses for God’s people not to marry foreigners, so you have to either lack literacy or engage in extreme mental gymnastics from bad faith in order to claim that the Bible promotes anti-human WEF agendas such as communism and the extinction of whites.
