>Of course you'd think thatYou asked a Christian, did you know? If you ask a Jew, they will tell you the same, same with a Muslim or a Buddhist, but no one would tell you that all religions have an equal chance to be the correct one and you just have to guess right, everyone would give you a clear answer to the question you're asking.
>Each denomination believes the others to be hell-bound hereticsAbsolutely false, Catholics believe that Christ can bring salvation to others through some means, but the Church remains the repository of the entierty of the truth, the same with Orthodox Christians, Protestants believe that the one and only thing that you need to be saved is to believe in Christ, regardless of whatever other beliefs you hold, so long as you don't compromise on that one belief, you wil be saved, that's why there is such an amount of variation of beliefs between protestant denominations, but they all agree that everyone who believes in Jesus will be saved, the reason why they object to Catholics and Orthodox is because they believe that these groups put at risk their salvation by putting their trust on other things besides their faith in Christ to be saved, protestants wouldn't say that they're outright damend to hell, but are walking on thin ice.
