The bourbon reforms had limited their power in comparison to Spaniards born in Spain or with very recent roots in the Iberian peninsula. I'm from Perú, when the independence came forced by argentinians and colombians the most part of the country didn't want it, the mestizos took the place of the spaniards and marginalized the natives in the andes, their positions, renown and land possessions lost authenticity to the new government, divided us (thus Bolivia) and borrowed with us with the United Kingdom.
