The period will be remembered as the breakdown of the cold war era starus quo and a return to multipolarity. The end of the bretton woods system. It will also be remembered as the spread of the Internet to the masses and the rise of crypto-currencies which will continue to expand. This is the incubation period of the coming "network state" system wherin people and factions aligned to the internet more than their nationalities begin to exert political power in the real world.
