Well, I'd hate to steelman Christards, but one apologetic retort for this is the idea of non-constant decay rate of radioactive isotopes, but the issue with this theory is in order for radioisotopes to decay at the rate that this theory proposes, it would have to release a tremendous amount of energy, enough to literally make the planet unlivable from extreme radio-global warming

Not a very persuasive argument because it assumes that God didn't just create lead out of thin air, which is what that poster probably believes. You see at a certain point beliefs become so detatched from evidence that it's almost impossible to find evidence against them.

>You see at a certain point beliefs become so detatched from evidence
It just raises more questions about his God though, like why would he create lead in such a way as to make the Earth appear to be 4 billion years old in the first place if that wasn't true. Or why would God leave fossil evidence of extinct animals that provide evidence for evolution if God created life in a week? Depending on how much koolaid that person drank they'd either continue trying to handwave all this away or it would actually make them think. Or at the very least take the apologetic approach of "well okay science is real but a week in Gods time is like 4 billion years in our time so it doesn't disprove the Sky-Jew-Kaiju" which is fine by me honestly

>that age [relies] on static degradation rate
In order for nuclear decay to have happened at the rate you think it happened within 4-6k years, it would have to release enough heat to make the Earth an unlivable wasteland. Again, this has been talked about to death already. Apologetics even tried tackling this problem by proposing that said heat was sent off into space by storms and flooding, but in order for the weather to dissipate that amount of heat would require a hurricane the size of the Earth itself that is active for literally trillions of years. Your belief just isn't compatible with reality my guy

The problem with this theory is that it's also not consistent with reality because every planet is on the same orbital plane around the sun, suggesting all the planets emerged out of a proto-planetary disc, this is why the rocky planets are closer to the sun while the gas giants are further out. If Saturn was more massive in the past, we should expect to see it among the inner planets.

You'd be better off saying that God is the one that set off the Big Bang and everything beyond this emerges out of primordial forces that God setup. This is why I have more respect for Deists than Apologists. Apologists pervert religion by trying to find naturalistic basis for it but this completely misses the point of religion, since religion is based on faith, if we had naturalistic basis for religion then it wouldn't be religion anymore, it would just be naturalism.

Most of the more traditional denominations don't fundamentally have problems with it, at least not expressed too vocally, as Creationism remains the most traditionally orthodox belief regarding how matters came about in the universe. Whether that is expressed as Young Earth Creationism, arguably the most traditional and orthodox of the stances, or Old Earth Creationism, a much newer yet still generally tolerated or respected stance, what truly matters for the Christian is following the Lord Jesus Christ, however the universe was created.

Not an issue. The only thing that needs to change is the initial composition. The dates were calculated from this assumption. Counterexamples to the Hinduism-age-Earth include the rate that Manganese nodules form at the bottom of the ocean, Carbon-14 being discovered trapped in diamonds, soft tissue being discovered in dinosaur fossils, the discovery that opalization (a kind of fossilization) could be done as quickly as 20 years, and leather remains from an 1898 Australian leather factory discovered as converting into crude oil in merely 80 years.

>without faking 4.5 billion years of cosmic and geological receipts.
Hearing garbage like this over and over made me consider becoming a Young Earth Pagan. Atheist Mythology is becoming exceedingly boring. (It was never true, but it made for some good stories). It had a good run in the 20th century, but Science Fiction has died as a literary genre. The hope and optimism of Modernism, post-Deism and the belief in Scientific Socialism and Communism has died. Nobody cares about "Primitive man" anymore. Nobody cares about "Extraterrestrial life" anymore. The "Darwinian Tree of Life" is dead.
Religion-wise, in 2025 AD, the United States is comparable to Ancient Greece after Alexander the Great terminally poisoned the Greeks' own Dodecatheism with his imperial cult. Atheism is on hospice care.
