I believe in god, as a spirit who sees and hears and knows everything. And I believe there is a spiritual illumination of the mind and heart which comes with extreme amounts of deep inner bliss and serenity. I have become steadily happier through meditation, and have been immensely happy when I used to be able to achieve trance states during meditation. I lost the ability to enter trance, but once I regain it, I will again feel that deep tranquility together with the possibility of achieving awakening from the dream of physical existence. The people who say only the physical exists are insane. The people who do not, have some sense. I believe god is ever present although he is beyond time and space. He is not here or there but within the heart shines through. I used to contemplate the idea that everyone is god. I do not believe this is true. I have contemplated it, and I have then rejected it. It is false. God can be known with the heart, but never seen, or heard, or comprehended by the intellect or the mind, for he is hidden from the senses and the mind. Silence is the language of god. When we are silent, we speak his language. When we speak, our words move through the mind but do not grasp the ultimate. Only through silence can he be known. Everyone who tries to grasp him through intellectual or reasoning abilities ultimately fails. Not even meditation can uncover him, however deep it may be. Only when we feel a deepest longing for him can we truly discover him. When we do, he smiles at us, and showers us with his divine mercy and peace. True peace comes from god. Other things may give some bliss, but ultimate bliss has only god as it's source. Worship, veneration, and the like, is appropriate to god only.
