People don't like it when your explanation for the supernatural is simply "they lied". I've had first-hand experience with my family and folk religion claims. How does my uncle's water witching jar work? He moves his hand. >"No, he doesn't move his hand." >"Yes, he does." >"Are you calling me a liar, boy?" >"Yes."
We've not been on good terms since, near 20 years on.

400 years later they're still handing out PhDs to people too retarded to grasp this.

Morality is an evolutionary trait, exactly the same as emotions. It makes animals better at cooperating, increasing their chances of survival. It's not objective but it does mean that morality would develop roughly the same way, e.g. feeling bad about murder is clearly more evolutionary beneficial than wanting to kill everyone you see.

He had other methods that were far less plausibly denied of guilt. Like holding a pocket knife loosely in his palm and claiming the blade turned over in the direction of water. But only he could do it because he was special like that.

Technically we do have a written proof that 1 + 1 = 2 but it's over 150 pages long. You can also simply demonstrate this in the real world with 2 objects though.

Assertion: The existence of God is an impossibility.
No atheist has conclusively proven this to be true.
Thus God's existence remains possible, until this very day.
No atheist has certainty that God is not real.
There is no certainty in atheism.
The one's I am thinking of basically if right toss large parts of philosophy out and solve multiple problems. They are also philosophers who are not wrong but professional philosophers have to provide better answers rather than go head on aganist them.
Immanuel Kant's Critique of Pure Reason- destoryed natural philosophy of religion and metaphysics.
Nagarjuna-Destoryed metaphyscial realism, destroyed ontology, destoryed mereology, turns the principle of sufficient reason aganist itself
Hilary Putnam- ends the relevance of metaethics and questions of the metaphysics of agency, centers all ethics on normative ethics
Ludwig Wittgenstein- Ends metaphysics and renders it all philosophy of language
