I’m a recent revert could you explain your perspective please? All I really know about the divide is that the Shias really love Ali and really hate a lot of the Sahaba. Haven’t dived into any of the books of Hadith really, tried listening to them on YouTube and realized it’s probably be best to go over them with a scholar.

Don't worry, that condition will be easily fixed with a lot of reading. I prescribe the following: academic studies on early islam, historical criticism, LOTS of reading on premodern fiqh, secular academic hadith studies, and of course, the one thing muslims never read, the Qur'an itself, which does wonders to make one apostatize from islam. Reading on the material and social conditions of islamic societies can also help. I do it for free, you don't need to pay. If you still experience issues, come back to us.

There used to be a *few*, but it seems like now that's the bulk of 4chan.

I think in Trump's first campaign when Alex Jones and 4chan were getting a lot of flak for being "alt right", became a self-fulfilling prophecy and a lot of Christian fundamentalists came here for that very reason.

I don't know who's wise idea it was for /his/tory lovers to share the board with dolts who believe the world is 3000 years old, but we're all feeling the pain.

You got hardcore fundamentalist Christians, a lot of nazi racists, confederates, and white supremacists of all different sorts. And there's a lot of trolls, saying the most offensive shit they can for the lulz.

Saying you're Muslim here is bound to cause some friction amongst guys like that.

Know that some of us are more enlightened and tolerant, but we're a clear minority here.

That being said, all the boards of 4chan really have something to offer if your interests align. I'd advice you to stick around and enjoy the various boards. Probably shouldn't say you're Muslim though, unless you directly want to cause friction.... though given 4chan's extreme nature, I'm sure there are Muslims who deliberately stir the pot around here for the lulz.

They're incapable of arguing the point or even discussing it sensibly. It's not something that happens even within Islamic 'academia'. They either beg for protection and special treatment for their beliefs when they're a minority, and demand submission when there's enough of them around to force the point. Over a millennium of inbreeding is not something that produces an intelligent and engaged population ready to engage in rigorous religious debates.
