Unironically, Christianity. Poltards hate when you point out that Judaism is only relevant on the world stage because of Christianity.

Nobody prior to 0 AD gave a fuck about Judaism. It was just another strange desert cult in a world full of strange desert cults. Despite the Biblical narrative, all historical evidence points to the idea that ancient Israel was just a whatever, backwater nation that most of the world didn’t care about unless they decided they wanted to conquer the region (which they did, successfully, quite frequently). Giant losers of history constantly getting their ass beat. Judaism would have likely died for good after Bar Kohkba if it weren’t for Christianity.

Christianity kept Judaism alive. Rabbinic Judaism developed as a counter-culture movement to Christianity. Christians often asserted that Rabbinic Jews had to be protected and endure as an example of how awful life is under the law. Aquinas, among many others, writes on this topic.

Jews were viewed by Christians as a useful “other” group. Capable of handling interest and finance in ways that Christians couldn’t. “Shabbos Goys” but reversed.

Even today, Judaism largely endures to the protection afforded to them by dispensationalists who need all the Jews to move to Israel and get blown up so the End Times can kick off.

What does the non-Abrahamic world think of Jews? They don’t care. Jews are irrelevant to their lives.

Historian Joe Jordan wrote about Werner Sombart's answer to this question. Basically the Sephardic Jews were able to monopolize the wealth of the New World and then use it to conquer Europe. Ashkenazi Jews merely inherited this wealth and used it to finish Europe off.

Ashkenazi Jews are about 75% of Jews worldwide and 90% of Jews in America. Most modern Jews you have heard of from Einstein to Larry David are Ashkenazi. In other words Jews are not Jews at all, just Italians LARPing as Jews. They're white, just barely, but white, which explains a lot of their success in itself and social darwinism explains their high status position in western society, especially the US with all its Jewish billionaires that basically worships Israel at this point.

Poor Jews converted to Christianity, or pretend to while their children were raised alongside Christians and forgot their ancestral religion. This you could only afford to be Jewish if you were middle class or an urban artisan or specialist of some sort, which placed a selective pressure on high IQ as well as religious fanaticism. Jews have a tendency towards schizophrenia, and as we know schizophrenics and others on the schizotypal spectrum develop obsessive behavior, certain schizos for example will stubbornly insist the earth is flat or ironically that Jews are like the illuminati and control everything.

The illuminati isn't far from the truth however, Jews can and do practice ethnic nepotism, their religion and fear of the holocaust and persecution brings them together, their parents put in way more effort ingratiating their children into the community than, say, Irish or Italians. They believe racism is justified, while simultaneously railing against "antisemitism", due to this victim complex. They have to shore up influence, they have to gain power and wealth, their survival depends on it.

Nowhere is this seen more in Israel which maintains high birth rates, bucking the trend of birth rates plummeting as a country develops its economy. Various religious fanatics here live in tight knit communities and have many children

A jew has his zealous parents who believe assisting in his success in education and his career in law, politics or media is their duty. He also has his community and all the other boys or girls they met, building lifelong attachments backed up by friends, family and religion. As an elite, Jews don't really behave much differently from rich people. They form cliques, but they are discriminating, why should they help out another Jew that does not benefit them personally? There is a bias, but it is not strong. The same with WASPs who will gladly hire a Jew in place of their useless cousin.

Regardless, because of their lower level nepotism and historical social darwinism, Jews are an elite group in America, like the WASPs. Where maybe 10% of Irish are upper-middle class, about 50% of Jews are, and naturally Jews are "overrepresented" by similar proportions in elite institutions.
