How come no world religion ever mentions the ice age?

Because the people that invented religion did not know where the sun went at night, they wiped their ass with their left hand and ate with their right hand because they have not invented toilet paper yet, they thought the world was flat until the 1400s

Religion was invented by people that would murder scientists if their latest discovery went against the grain of their religion,

Do you think there was a round-table meeting where a bunch of "people" got together and created "religion"? You are clearly not intelligent enough to be discussing this topic.

At least be the historically informed kind of atheist, you make us look bad

As a matter of fact, we atheists reject you. Go join the young earth creationists considering you’re just as retarded as them.

Insofar as "white people are the devil" is taught in public schools at all it's in a few very blue districts of very blue states. Half the country is still teaching Lost Cause mythology.

No the flood caused massive volcanic eruptions (the waters of the deep burst forth). It just isn't mentioned because the Middle East was unaffected.
Anonymous No.17826467 [Report]

The eruptions were what triggered the Ice Age BTW.

Organized religion isn't old enough for that. But some tribes around the world speak of events or about their general environment that must be a collective memory that's been passed thousands and thousands of years:
In Aboriginal folklore for example some of the tribes near the coastal areas have stories of lands that are now underwater being used for hunting. Also a different group hints at a time when the Willandra Lakes was wetter rather than being desert. It started to dry out about 18k years ago.
Also the Klamath Indians have a folklore story that describes the formation of Crater Lake.

Isn’t the flood just the persian gulf part sinking?
Anonymous No.17829682 [Report]

Think the flood myths allude to it, desu. Lots of modern cultures seem to have sensed that they were born as the waters rose, places flooded, mass migrations happened, and a warmer climate allowed for more stuff to grow, and civs to thrive.

Thats a theory, but there are so many flood myths across so many cultures many of whom never saw the persian gulf.
There are aboriginal australian myths that accurately describe massive floods that submerge huge areas of land that would later become the great barrier reef

I've read ancient Tibetan texts that mention ice ages (eg: glaciers covering all the lands during certain kalpas (epochs)). It's literally not that hard to imagine a world covered in glaciers by people who live in mountains.
So if OP was trying to intellectually checkmate religion it failed (because it's not that far out of an idea).

Yes. Picrel is basically where 99% of modern Christian doctrine comes from. Everything else was thrown out or edited.
