my favorite type of jesus art is the ones where he looks more human, without exaggerated christlike looks and poses. such as "christ and the rich young ruler", or "christ in the wilderness". compare the latter to "the temptation of christ" where he is arguing with satan with exaggerated poses. i just really like heinrich hofmann's depiction of christ in general. he retains the noble and christlike look while trying to make him look as human as possible. i think that's pretty difficult to achieve the balance without making him look too christlike or too human.

Not the biggest fan of the religion, but the lamb (and the pigeon for the Holy Spirit) are pretty nice religious symbols. At least when not overstated. The OP image is cringe desu, you can tell a protestant made it.

This sort of art (piss jesus et al.) always comes across as the living embodiment of this meme, even as a fedora tipper. Practically validates everything religious conservatives feel. Pointless ugliness and degeneration for the sake of it, with no better alternative presented.
