Yeah I don't think China's gonna be a superpower 100 years from now. China's entire economy is built on having a massive supply of cheap labor. That's literally the basis for their trade with the rest of the world. Nobody considers Chinese-made goods to be high quality, and even their ability to access valuable materials like rare earths depends on there being cheap, disposable workers to throw into dangerous mining operations.

in 100 years China's population will be less than half of what it is now, and it will be majority old people. Wonder how well a sweatshop economy will run in such a place. Perhaps China will abandon its current identity of "tons of cheap crap at low prices" for something else to try and stay relevant. I doubt it though.

It's not just mass migration, it is the fact that in many European countries, it's common for half the population or more to be literal bastards. Bastards are almost always tax burdens so it's basically like subtracting half the population of the country, because it's not that bastards aren't productive, but they literally reduce productivity. China doesn't have this issue because vast majority of people there are legitimate due to the Wukou household registration system, so whatever population China has will remain massively more productive than America and Europe over the long-term.
