Rambam concluded once that God is incapable of producing evil and suffering, because everything God does is good. I'm not sure if I fully believe this, but it's something to think about.

Arguing about theology and cosmology of religions is fun because fundamentally it's an imaginative and creative exercise, but then people get mad when someone starts going against their vibes. I experienced this same phenomenon frequently when playing dungeons and dragons, where group consensus is important for the story but the real purpose of the exercise is to hang out and have fun.
These kinds of "gotchas" are funny because it's the same as rules-layering in D&D. According to "God's character" the world ought to seem one way but you can easily imagine paradoxes and absurdities. If you are a fun person you enjoy these jokes but if you are a cranky person you get the ole flight or fight identify crisis and lose your cool and have to butt in and try to get your opinion heard over the laughter.
