Most decent humans... Atheist or not... Would save the baby because basic empathy exists. Morality isn't exclusive to religion. The real question is why you'd frame ethics as a gotcha instead of acknowledging that atheists routinely risk lives for others (see: secular charities, doctors, firefighters).

I use the slow motion to dodge any other bullets, dive the shooter, take the gun and kill him. Now a christian and a mugger are dead and I have a free gun. Absolute victory.

I never fucking understood the idea of sacrificing adults to save children. Children require massive investment to become functioning members of society. Adults have already had all those resources spent into rearing them. Obviously, from an efficiency standpoint, children's lives ought to be less valuable than adult lives.

I wouldn't save the baby since it would go to heaven and I can ask for forgiveness later to atone for me not saving the baby so I will go to heaven as well making it a win win situation for the both of us.
