she is the new Eve, fulfilling the covenantal promise
bringing the all Savior of Mankind
Mother of God
the Theotokos
Queen of Heaven
Regina Caeli
honor to her
and unending glory to the fruit of her womb; Jesus Christ, the King of Kings
God from God, Light from Light, begotten, not made.
Because she wanted to serve God, she performed the greatest service. That's why there's so much iconography of her. In the middle ages, they painted her in blue, because the lapis pigment was worth more than gold.

Season 3 of Rome was going to have Pullo be entangled with Christ's arrival and become a Christian. Even the image you chose is against you.
You lost.

Pullo was a grown ass man in the 40s BC, you're telling me 70 years later he'd be Christian? Shut the fuck up. Now, a Roman soldier like him knocking up some Jewish teen while traveling through Galilee, that's plausible. Sounds just like Vorenus and Cleopatra.

I have vague memories about how they wanted pullo to be the father of jesus, just like it's implied that he's the father of caesar's son with cleopatra, that's why I posted that
but my memory is hazy

Well, he lost his wife and son to the woman he employed and slept with some time later, so it's likely that he still feels some harm and guilt about what happened. He could also still feel guilty and remorseful about that guy he killed when he was working as an assassin.
Then he could find Jesus while preaching in Judea, confess everything that happened, and receive comfort and forgiveness from Jesus, along with the hope of finding his loved ones in heaven.

HBO Rome is incredibly degenerate and low quality (antipagan propaganda) so what you're saying makes sense.
The costumes and Octavian are the only good thing about this absolute abomination of a show, I stopped watching it the moment they made Octavian an atheist or agnostic.
