Reading the bible. I immediately stopped being religious or spiritual in any way when I did so. It's such blatant political propaganda (first aimed at Jews and then at Romans) that to this day I'm not entirely convinced that "religion" even truly exists and isn't just politics masquerading behind a thin veil of mysticism.

Seeing all Pagans using religion as a pretext for ideology instead of deriving ideology from religion made me turn back to Christianity.

The transcendental is always above the earthly ideologies.

For me it was a priest. My grandmother died from leukemia and he used her funeral as an opportunity to go on a 20 minute long rant about how homosexuality is evil, and then he claimed that homosexuals could only get HIV from being gay.

I haven't given up on christians except on individual basis.
My christian friends are nice and fun people.
As for christianity or any other religion, it just doesn't offer me anything I feel is credible or worth bothering with. I guess I'm simply not a religious person.
