The age of enlightenment was a good thing. The church losing its power was a good thing. The rise of secularism was a good thing.

Crazy how the French revolution led to literally everything we consider modern. Look no further than the 3 main political ideologies that dominated the west in the past century.

>liberté --> liberalism
>égalité --> socialism
>fraternité --> fascism

Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is downstream of the French revolution.

Mass executions weren't a good thing, you'd sell the positive legacy of the Revolution much more effectively if you distangled it from the incredible violence it unleashed

The problem with Robespierre was that he was too forgiving and merciful until it was already too late.

>Mass executions weren't a good thing

They were. The issue is, you're a partisan weakling in favor of the nobility & royalty by saying/believing such a crock of shit and – by extension – against liberalism, republicanism, democracy... But you most likely do not understand the weight of your affirmation, don't you.

What you fail to understand is elementary regimentation.
What is regimentation? Either you're with the republic (your interests, everyone's interests) or the nobility's & royalty's interests (you, a slave to them).
That's it.

When the brainwashing attribute is so ingrained, that you're a liability to yourself and to others, by supporting a system that is clearly against you/us... Then, sorry to say, you need to be guillotined. You're way too far gone.
We're stuck in a cage with several crocodiles.
You wear a T-shirt that reads “I love crocodiles”.
You have a choice: ditch the T-shirt or we smash your head ourselves because everything you are is against us, in that cage, with those crocodiles.
And guess what? Outside the cage, there are onlookers of all kinds, the most obvious being other people wearing similar T-shirts that promotes crocodilians but also those that yell “Save the crocodiles, kill the humans!”.

This was, and to an extent remains to this day, the lessons & legacy of the French Revolutions.

The constant subversion & sabotage attempts of those wearing “I love crocodiles” T-shirts and especially those that think crocodiles are superior & must be put on a pedestal above humans are a liability to human liberty, rights, dignity, and virtue.
The only success the pro-crocodilians have had was with the bolshevik-communist inversion disinformation. That's it.

America did it better. Our revolution established a balanced republic that wasn't beholden to mob violence and violent political purges doomed to be forever overshadowed by a backwater artillery officer LARPing as augustus. While loyalists were targeted and often faced violent harassment it was nothing compared to the brutality of the Infernal columns or the Terror or the counter-terrors that gripped France. I guess we're just built different.

Christcucks murdered more people in the French wars of religion than died in the revolution.

Kings, emperors and other assorted nobility are pretty fucking gay anyway. I don't know why people are so eager to condemn themselves to serform for a family that will never give a shit about them.

And how is getting guillotined by Robespierre in my interest. The problem with revolutions is that they unleash mass, indescriminate violence upon every part of the population. What does it matter if my great-grandchildren live better lives than me, if I'm killed by some random revolutionary that declares me an enemy of tha state for some arbitrary reason. It's better to be poor and alive in the old system than to hope for a better future that never manifests for you, but shows up for your descendants. It reminds me of historians taking about the Black death on a positive light, since the mass reduction of the populace lead to better living standards and rights for the remaining people and their children. Again what value is that to me if I'm dead?
