Why are the failures of communist regimes like the USSR 1922-1991 (dissolved 34 years ago) blamed on capitalist nations like the USA not trading with them or giving them free shit? Like I legit see people say the horrible living conditions in communist east yurop that contributed to so many yuros hopping to the west that they built a fucking wall to keep them in was the fault of the USA for refusing to give the USSR shit for free or valueless fiat currency and instead demanding gold for pay

Commies blame everything on people being able to own and trade their property. McCarthyism is a big projection.

If you haven't read it, The Gorbachev Factor is an excellent book. Basically, it states that Gorbachev spearheaded political reforms and external policies, which led to the USSR's collapse.
