Historically analyzing Christianity
ITT: we disprove the counternarrative that Christianity is a psyop (whether it be orchestrated by the Romans or Jews it doesn't matter) and try to defend the mainstream narrative against its counternarrative detractors

Why would the Jews create a group of people known mainly as criminals, whores, and losers (even up until the time of Celsus) who worship a peasant born of a suspected adulteress, accused of sorcery, and who died a humiliating death on a cross? What would they gain from that? Why would they even have expected to convert the Roman Empire that way? And why would the Romans have thought that the Jews would convert to such a religion either? To them Jesus is a false messiah and idolatrous false prophet.

According to people like Adam Green and his party of analysts, it is supposed to weaken the Gentiles in the long run

To argue that Christiany was the reason that the (Western) Roman Empire fell is retarded at best and actively deceptive at worst.

Christianity is the reason Rome stopped being Rome. Arguing otherwise is lying.

The mainstream narrative and the conspiracy theory are equally bullshit.
Christianity as it exists has some intellectual antecedents (Judaism period, but especially Philo and the Essenes; Jewish dualism/apocalypticism e.g. 1 Enoch; God-fearers). Jesus began a Messianic movement centered around himself. The Romans executed him because he denied their authority to rule the Jews, if only implicitly. After he died Peter thought he saw him. Followers were quickly convinced Jesus survived his death, and perhaps some of them also "saw" Jesus. Hellenistic Jews that believed in the divine Messiah influenced early Christians, and they began to worship Jesus as a god. All existing Christian documents postdate those developments, but some are written to appear older/Apostolic for maximum rhetorical effectiveness, and some attest to a Christianity which rejected Jesus idolatry.
This accounts for all the facts far better than some nonsense about a Jewish conspiracy, or even worse, taking the New Testament as an accurate record.

The good thing about atheists is that they're always thinking of God.

Many do not understand that just because Paleo-Christianity was indeed practiced by many ethnic Jews, this does not mean that it is some sort of Jewish plot. It was simply a transition from Judaism to Christianity.

tbqh it seems too schizo to be worth addressing seriously, even on here.
