Is it weird if I feel that the bombing of Hiroshima was justified but that Nagasaki wasn't?

If you want to "justify" the bombing of Hiroshima as a demonstration of power.
>we have this bomb
Then you also need to justify Nagasaki under the same context
>it wasn't a fluke, we have another. We will keep doing this until you surrender.

Neither was justifiable. The US were war criminals and should acknowledge their wrongdoings

They had a lot of more cities that could get bombed too

couldn't they demonstrate that power somewhere else? military targets?
there are a few reasons floating in my head for why civilian targets were better, and the answer is always something like "it's easier/safer for the US" and "it causes the most obvious and shocking destruction". terrorism, then. a war crime

It is worth noting that Nagasaki was a centre of Christianity in Japan.

They discussed that at one point and decided that Japs wouldn't care

It was a major port city, that's why it had so many Christians and also chosen to be bombed

yes, that's how terrorism works
still a war crime
still unnecessary
still unjustifiable
the only reason we're still having this conversation, and we will still be having this conversation for a while, is that "we" don't want to believe that the "good guys" would behave like that

>cowardly
Nigga you're nuking kids. Throwing a bomb at them from a safe distance. That's the most cowardly kind of mass murder imaginable.

The sociopathic nips should count themselves lucky they were not completely annihilated after their despicable crimes against humanity in Nanking and Manchuria and everywhere else they brutalised for 20 years. The only tragedy for either use of the bomb is the Japs got to play the nuclear victim card and almost whitewash the far greater crimes against humanity they committed.

>Nagasaki was a centre of Christianity in Japan.

And? WWII in the Pacific was almost entirely characterized as a race war by its participants, religion had basically nothing to do with it.

It's worth noting that Poland was a centre of Christianity in Europe.
