In 1143, the Shinto priest, Liao Hao finished the book "Histories of the Gods". Among many other things, it portrayed Amaterasu coming down as a tiger, ripping a man to pieces for accidentally knocking down a candle at her shrine -- he was completely innocent!

It also detailed Amaterasu assisting in the genocide of an entire tribe of Nippon people. Now isn't that a grotesque image for the "sun goddess"? More like fucking sun <demon>.

Anyways, Hao himself only found out about Christianity and the Gospel in 1172, 5 years before he was baptised in 1177. So, this wasn't antagonistic at all. It was just what Hao described as his visions and memories from/of the "gods".

Praise Christ The King.

It's sad in a way. You'll be old and in your hospital bed, slowly slipping away. You'll have forgotten these posts. Forgotten this place even exists. And then as you take your last breath and fade away, Jesus Christ THE LORD YOUR GOD remembers! It'll get hot. VERY VERY FUCKING HOT. Hope the anonymous clout was worth it :)

My dear shitposter, i'm pobably a better Christian than you, by the sole virtue of not dedicating my life to annoy other people with pseudoreligious spam, thus violating the "Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain" commandment on a daily base.
Now go to a quiet place and reconsider your choices in life.

>accidentally knocking down a candle at her shrine -- he was completely innocent!
That's exactly the kind of behavior that women who suddenly gain a lot of power would do. She behaves just like Ishtar.

I doubt she is a Sun god at all. She definitely embodies Venus. Including the whole getting inside the cave for several days, just like Venus doesn't show up for some time, until it reemerges.

Also, her reddish colors are associated to the reddish color of the dawn, not the actual Sun.

>In the Old Babylonian period, the planet Venus was known as Ninsi'anna, and later as Dilbat.[14] " Ninsi'anna" translates to "divine lady, illumination of heaven", which refers to Venus as the brightest visible "star". Earlier spellings of the name were written with the cuneiform sign si4 (= SU, meaning "to be red"), and the original meaning may have been "divine lady of the redness of heaven", in reference to the color of the morning and evening sky.

I propose that Amaterasu is NOT in fact the Sun goddess, but Venus with delusions of grandeur.

Wow kinda like when Yahweh killed Uzzah for catching the ark when it accidentally fell over.

>It also detailed Amaterasu assisting in the genocide of an entire tribe of Nippon people.
Wow kind of like when Yahweh assisted in the genocide of the various peoples of Canaan.

One thing I realized throughout my life was that before Christianity, the world was full of canibalism, torture, war, slavery, grotesque sadism, sexual abuse, rape, genocide, human sacrifice, etc. Christianity was such a paradigm shift in the collective consciousness that it brought forth things and "rights" that today we take from granted as obligatory and common things and practices.
It wasn't like that, the whole wise and noble ancient people is a history revisionism thing meant to downgrade the sheer moral superiority of Christianity.
Things like love your brother and don't kill your parents and pray for your enemies and love your wife snd follow your husband and all men being equal under God were seen as wild tales, downright insanity. They quite literally and unironically killed the man for saying such things.

If you want to see a glimpse of what the ancient world was pre Christianity, look at Haiti

You may read about the 30 year war (just as one example), where all sides were Christians and practiced all the above on a daily base.
