If I were a jew that's what I'd do, but I'm not a jew, so I'm not drawn to judaism the same way a jew would be. The scripture that they wrote says they're god's chosen people and that their messiah will come and conquer the world for them, and gentiles will be their slaves. Why would a jew choose a modest pagan religion over a jewish supremacist religion that affirms them and plays into their delusion?

The thing is that there is no "way". Just rituals and myths. Paganism is not and should not be a religion of the book. Often what happens is that you have established cults that channel divine power to bring about good fortune or stave off disaster. I'd argue that Yahwism snuffing out all those pagan religions should tell you how effective the others really are. The only thing that can truly liberate man now is wisdom. The wisdom to abandon what is deception. Although now I think we are too accustomed to a deity giving us laws that the idea of absolute existential freedom is terrifying. If Yahweh does not suffice, mankind will simply need another God.
